Está prevista a realização de uma missão de ensino, no âmbito do programa ERASMUS, de um Prof. italiano da Sardenha (Universidade de Cagliari), especialista de renome mundial em aspectos inerentes aos impactes ambientais da indústria mineira (minas abandonadas) e corte e acabamento de rocha ornamental com jactos de água a alta pressão.

* Raimondo Ciccu graduated in Mining Engineering at the University of Cagliari in 1965. Shortly after he served the National Research Council until 1973 covering the position of Senior researcher. From 1974 to 1981 he was Chief Sector at the Sardinian Mining Board (EMSa) and meanwhile he acted as Managing Director of Bariosarda SpA, a major mining Company in Italy. In 1982 he joined the University of Cagliari as Associate Professor and from 1983 as Full Professor of Surface Mining and Land Reclamation and of Excavation Engineering, and at present he is Head of the Department of Geoengineering and Environmental Technologies.  The fields of interest range from excavation and cutting of rocks using traditional and advanced technologies (diamond tools and waterjet) to environmental issues. Professor Ciccu Authored about 250 scientific and technical papers, most of them discussed at International Conferences, and he is responsible of many research contracts with the industry as well as scientific coordinator of EEC-supported projects.
